Centre for Social Initiatives Promotion (CSIP) is a science and technology organization under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. CSIP promotes development of social enterprises and social initiatives by building a social entrepreneurship movement in Vietnam and in the SEA region. Established in 2008, CSIP aims to provide direct investment and support to people and social enterprises who apply innovative and sustainable business solutions to solve social and environmental issues.

Recently, the Project “Improved Quality of Life for Persons with Disabilities in Provinces Heavily Sprayed with Agent Orange” (INCLUSION Project) is funded by USAID/Vietnam under the ownership of the National Action Center for Toxic Chemical and Environmental Treatment (NACCET). The project has four objectives: To expand health and rehabilitation services (Objective 1); To expand social services and social inclusion support (Objective 2); To improve policy, public attitude and accessibility for persons with disabilities (Objective 3). To achieve these objectives, the capacity in management, implementing and supporting activities for persons with disabilities also needs to be strengthened at all levels (Objective 4). The project is implemented in 8 provinces: Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Kon Tum, Binh Dinh, Quang Nam, Quan Tri and Thua Thien – Hue.

CSIP was selected by USAID/Vietnam to be the Prime Awardee responsible for implementing project activities in 3 provinces: Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc and Tay Ninh (INCLUSION-3). To assure the quality and efficiency of interventions, CSIP expects to collect feedback from beneficiaries on project interventions and collect information on changes in the quality of life of persons with disabilities after receiving interventions. Within the scope of the project, beneficiaries refer to individuals, units and organizations receiving project supports, including (1) ultimate beneficiaries: persons with disabilities and their familiy members, and (2) intermediate beneficiaries: service providers, government agencies, disability people’s organization (clubs and associations), and other entities/organizations receiving capacity building supports.
