Job Title: HEALTH SERVICES MANAGER

Report to: Country Director

Job purposes: The Health Services Manager (HS Manager) is responsible for planning, managing and expanding PSI/Vietnam’s efforts to build private sector provider capacity to meet national service delivery and Good health, Great life franchise standards across multiple health areas including maternal and child nutrition, tuberculosis, hypertension, hygiene and hepatitis C. The HS Manager oversees the selection, training, monitoring and promotion of Good health, Great life private doctors in multiple provinces, to build long-lasting improvements in the private sector’s capacity to contribute to Vietnam’s public health and non-communicable disease challenges.

Major duties:

• Map, screen and identify private providers who meet minimum criteria to join the Good health, Great life franchise, including accessibility to low-income and marginalized
• communities
• Update training materials and co-facilitate trainings to improve adherence to national quality service delivery standards for maternal and child nutrition, tuberculosis
• detection, hygiene, hepatitis C management, hypertension management and other services to be identified.
• Coordinate closely with national and provincial partners to ensure that social franchising activities comply with Vietnamese legal and medical guidelines, and respond to
• local priorities. Provide regular updates to key MOH counterparts at both national and provincial levels regarding social franchising results and lessons.
• Represent PSI social franchising experience, results and lessons with national stakeholders & contribute to fundraising efforts to expand support for private sector
• contributions to Vietnam’s unmet health needs.
• Motivate field team for proven measurable results and built trust to get support from provincial governmental partners.

Selection criteria

• Medical doctor training background. Knowledge in public health or related field preferred
• At least 1 year experience practicing as a medical doctor
• Knowledgeable regarding following health areas: nutrition, tuberculosis control, hepatitis, water/sanitation/hygiene and hypertension - preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, result-oriented drive for measurable results
• Willing to learn new things and take challenges,
• Good written and oral English communication skills
