Vacancy: HSBC Project Assistant

Based in Ho Chi Minh City

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Project Assistant to work in our Emergency Team. The successful candidate can be based in Ho Chi Minh City with frequent travels to project sites.

Main Responsibilities

This position is in close collaboration with Water and Sanitation Project Officer in project implementation. This position also is responsible for logistics tasks, preparing budget plan for project activities, maintain the financial information for project, prepare appropriate documents for Contract and other tasks assigned from Project Manager for ensuring timely and coordinated for the HSBC Project.

Key Competencies:

Essential
• University degree in a related subject (water supply engineering, civil engineering, social work etc)
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in water and sanitation engineering, preferably with an NGO
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude to team work
• Working level of spoken and written English
• Experience in water and sanitation sector
• Awareness of hygiene promotion, behavior change communication methodologies etc
• Good training skills
• Financial and ethical integrity
• Written communication skills
• IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint, CAD software including AutoCAD or Solid Works preferable
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values

Desirable
• Familiarity with Sphere standards
• Flexibility to spend extended periods of time in field away from base office
• Experience of public works construction contract preparation/management/supervision
