RECRUITMENT FOR INCOME GENERATION OFFICERS
Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has been operating in 37 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.
Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI is working in main areas as child sponsorship and education, water and sanitation, income generation, etc. in 6 CDPs and is managing about 10,000 sponsored children.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Country Director, Managing Director, General Manager, IGD Junior Manager/Team Leader/Officers, AD-FD Junior Manager/Officers, Project Manager, Project Officer
External: Communities
2. MAIN DUTIES
- Develop programs for household economic development:
- Research and propose activities for the economic development of households, household groups suited with the local conditions.
- Facilitate and develop the activities corporate by GNI and local partners in IG development activities for communities.
- Implement IG activities:
- Collaborate with local partners to survey, establish and develop regulations for new IG groups in project area, process procedures to set up IG groups and cooperatives;
- Perform the regular supervision and check with groups and cooperative activities; receive and check information, support and facilitate IG group activities;
- Collaborate with communal CDC, local authorities, group management boards in management of turnover fund of IG program in project area;
- Support groups/cooperatives to prepare and complete documents and product certificate, seek consumption unit for the products of IG project.
- Supervise, consolidate, archive documents and keep data relating to IG activities, be involved in evaluation of efficiency and results of project activities, report to IGD team leader in CDP/ Project Manager/ HO when requested;
- Other related tasks when assigned by line managers.
3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Agriculture, Agricultural Development, and other related fields.
Work experience:
- At least 1-year relevant working experience in IG and household economic development group establishment and management;
- Experience and skills of project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and partnership;
- Experience in working independently and with the team;
- Experience in community development or with NGO.
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and with the team;
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
- Good skill in computer use: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email
- Basic English skill.
Attitude:
- Sociable, responsive, committed working with GNI at least 1 year
