InDesign Designer

TERMS OF REFERENCE

For an InDesign designer to use a template to transcribe already developed communication reports into high- quality, attractive and easy-to-read documents that will be disseminated to a global audience

I.                    Background

PATH is an international, non-profit organization that creates sustainable, culturally relevant solutions that enable communities worldwide to break longstanding cycles of poor health. By collaborating with diverse public- and private-sector partners, PATH helps provide appropriate health technologies and vital strategies that change the way people think and act. PATH’s work improves global health and well-being.

PATH has been supporting Vietnam’s Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Expanded Program on Immunization (NEPI) to develop, pilot and scale up the National Immunization Information System (NIIS) since 2011. This system was launched nationwide in March 2017 and MOH is now planning to switch fully from a paper-based to paperless system. PATH has received funding to provide technical support for MOH and NEPI during this transition process and to document the lessons learned to share with and benefit the global health community. This project is called Introducing Digital immunization information systems: Exchange and Learning from Vietnam (IDEAL-Vietnam).

PATH is seeking a consultant who will use an already established InDesign template to transcribe previously developed word documents (5-15-page reports, English (EN/Vietnamese (VN)) on the above content into high-quality, attractive and easy-to-read documents for global dissemination.

II.            Location of work

The work will primarily be conducted independently and remotely, with meetings at the PATH office as required.

III.           Consultant Activities and deliverables

Utilize InDesign software to transcribe word document reports into an easy-to-use and aesthetically pleasing, communication document for publication and national and international dissemination including the production of any infographics requested by the team. The document should be formatted for both high-quality print as well as electronic dissemination. Time spent on each report should include seeking feedback from the team and making edits accordingly. In average time estimated per each report is about 5working days for both versions in English and in Vietnamese
