Background

SNV has been working in Vietnam since 1995. Using market based approaches, SNV is committed to reducing poverty by catalyzing environmentally sustainable solutions for the poor in agriculture, energy, water & sanitation, and REDD+.

SNV is engaged in the agriculture sector implementing Sustainable Market, Inclusive Business and Climate Smart Agriculture projects and activities.  Within this sector SNV is looking for an Intern to support projects’ activities including research, knowledge management and business development.

Responsibilities

• Support in research, knowledge management and business development activities.
• Support project management activities, including technical and financial implementation, reporting
• Assist in data collection and analysis systematization; and case study development
• Support business development activities, including research and analysis, proposal writing support; among others.
• Support other activities related to case study development and training,

Candidate Profile

• University degree in economics, agriculture, agronomy, agribusiness, international development or related field
• Vietnamese, with excellent oral and written (English) communication skills
• At least 03 years of experience in the agriculture sector
• Understanding of  agriculture value chains, market-based approach, sustainable production standards
• Some experience in  knowledge management, monitoring & evaluation, and communication activities in agricultural value chains
• Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency in Windows and Office based programs

SNV will support the intern a limited allowance and local travelling expenses when the intern is required to work in the fields out of the working station in Hanoi. He/she will benefit from a 1 year contract, working with multi-national team of professionals with rich and diverse fields of expertise.
