The multiple international award winning biogas programme biogas program for the animal husbandry sector of Vietnam (BP PMU) is recruiting an intern that will play an instrumental role in piloting a new quality control system. The main tasks of this intern will be phone based quality verification combined with database entry. More information on the biogas program can be found on its website: www.biogas.org.vn

Background

The biogas program facilitates the construction of biogas digesters in Vietnam. A key component is the verification of the quality of biogas digesters. BP PMU is currently redesigning the existing quality control system in order to increase the sustainability of this activity. In 2015 the project will implement a pilot with a 100% phone check system in four provinces: Ninh Binh, Hau Giang, Long An and Hoa Binh. In this system the BP PMU will reduce the amount of physical quality control checks while increasing the amount of phone checks. The phone checks are designed to identify quality issues and detect potential fraud.

Activities

• Receive on the job training from senior technical officers in order to perform phone based verification.
• Register digesters based on the information from the biogas enterprises
• Perform phone based quality verification
• Enter acceptance files into the database.
• Manage database of issues found in the phone checks

• As this is an internship position no prior experience is required.

Type of contract

Paid internship contract with a monthly compensation of 4 million VND/month.

Expected time period

October – 31st December, 2015

In case the pilot is successful and the project continued the internship can be continued and the contract could possibly be adapted into a labour contract in case of excellent performance.
