We are looking for a Vietnamese national for Consultancy service, with following information:

I.    Objectives of the Consultancy:

The purpose of this TOR is to engage 4 professional individual interpreters to provide simultaneous interpretation for the 4 thematic sessions on 10 June 2018.

II.    Consultant’s responsibilities:

The selected consultants will provide simultaneous interpretation, both from English to Vietnamese and from Vietnamese to English, including presentation, plenary discussion and question & answer sub-sessions, in the 4 thematic sessions below:

  • Strengthening Capacity of Civil Society Organizations on Child Rights Governance; Improved Protection and Quality Education for All Children in Ho Chi Minh City;
  • Skills to Succeed and Financial Literacy; and
  • Child Rights Governance to Promote Non-Discrimination of Vulnerable Children and Young People in Vietnam (LGBT Youth).

III.    Expected deliverables outputs:

Complete simultaneous translation with high quality in the above mentioned 4 sessions in the Asia Regional Meeting.

IV.    Duration/Timeframe:

Consultant will start the work from 8:00 and completed by 12:00 Sunday 10 June 2018 (half day).

V.    Consultant’s Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. foreign languages, diplomacy, professional translation, etc…
  • Proven experience in simultaneous interpretation in international workshop/ trainings;
  • Having interpretation experience in Child Protection, Child Right Governance, Child Poverty, Gender and LGBT issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills; and
  • Good understanding of children issues in Vietnam;
