The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a highly motivated and well organised individual to fulfil the position of Investment Officer (LE5). A merit list from this recruitment exercise may be used to fill similar positions over the next 18 months from the date of advertisement.

Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade under the Economic Section, the successful candidate will play a key role in achieving the Southeast Asia Economic Strategy’s objective to increase Australian investment in Vietnam, as part of a cross-agency, geographically-dispersed team across DFAT, Austrade and Export Finance Australia (EFA). You may be required to undertake travel within and outside of Vietnam and undertake work outside of business hours.

Applicants should have experience and the ability to develop knowledge of Vietnamese Government policies and regulations relating to foreign investment and/or opportunities and the operating environment for foreign investors in Vietnam. High-level proficiency in English and Vietnamese are required.

The successful applicant will be offered an initial One (1) Year Non-Ongoing Employment Contract with an option to renew for a further period or Ongoing/Permanent Employment depending on funding. The Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 47,022,339 to VND 52,924,057, depending on skills and experience.
