Research on Community-based Forest Management

ActionAid is an international development agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide, supporting 25 million poor and most excluded people in 47 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas in securing their rights and eradicating poverty.

Currently, ActionAid Vietnam is implementing a project of “People Participation in improvement of forest governance and poverty alleviation in Vietnam” (PFG - Vietnam) with funding from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Finland.

PFG – Vietnam Project Purpose is to promote “participation of the grassroots communities and people in national forest management information system as their rights to make forest governance accountable and contribute to poverty alleviation in Vietnam”.

In this project, a research on impacts of impacts of Community-based Forest Management (CBFM) in local social economic development of project areas is expected to take place in August - September 2017. ActionAid is seeking a well-qualified consultant unit (1 Team Leader and 1 Team Member) for the mission, which requires the selected consultant to work in Hanoi Office and travel to the project areas.

Starting date: 20th July 2017
Ending date: 31st July 2017
Mission start date (expected): 7th August 2017

The result announcement will be sent to candidates before 7th August 2017.

Consultancy fee: Negotiable basing on experience and expertise, within the allocated budget

A proposal including technical and financial bid written in English or Vietnamese should be submitted to ActionAid Vietnam by 17:00 pm Hanoi time (GMT+7) on 31st July 2017.

All proposals together with candidate’s CV should be sent in soft copies, wit legitimate supporting documents fully signed and scanned to email address: [email protected] with clearly written subject: Proposals for PFG Vietnam - CBFM research. The selected Consultant will submit the original proposal in hard copies to AAV at the signing of the contract. The submitted Proposal in hard copy will be an integral part of the signed contract.
