PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

SMEs Promote Resilience, Inclusion, and Innovative Transformation (SPRINT) Project will be implemented in the Yen Bai province, with the Head Office based in Hanoi. This six-year Project will aim to improve the socioeconomic wellbeing of women working in the agriculture sector, focusing on adoption of renewable energy and energy efficient business solutions. This will be achieved through interventions designed to strengthen the performance of women-led MSMEs, cooperatives, and producer groups in select value chains

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager (FAM), the IT Advisor will undertake a critical role, advising on the efficient setup and maintenance of the IT system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing technical advice on technology best practices, e.g specifications of the laptops, desktops, monitors, projectors, printers, multi functional photocopy and server (if any) to meet project criteria (e.g; value for money, cost effectiveness,...)
  • Creating/analyzing an IT system and infrastructure for a small office (less than 30 users) including setup and manage of required hardwares and softwares, telephone network and ancillary equipment on laptops and desktops to system users;
  • Implementing, configuring, managing, and trouble shooting all Operating Systems, Applications, and Server platforms (if any);
  • Diagnosing IT system problems and providing immediate onsite/remote technical support to end-users;
  • Investigating options for value for money solutions available to improve efficiency and security of all applications, systems and requirements of the ICT. This includes making recommendations to improve ICT systems and processes;
  • Ensuring proper functioning of existing ICT infrastructure and network through regular monitoring and pro-active maintenance (on a monthly basis required);
  • Analysing and determining securities threats and ensure antivirus installation and updates are performed on all ICT (including any peripherals) on a monthly basis;
  • Performing and/or managing backups and data recovery procedures;
  • Monitoring the success of IT solutions;
  • Producing detailed repots on the efficiency of the technology or any risk which can cause to system outage, or any damage to computer equipement and materials;
  • Training staff to use the new IT system (LAN/Wifi, CCTV, Access Control, net work printing/scan, O365...).

Required Qualifications

The IT Advisor will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other relevant fields.
  • Experience in implementation and decommissioning of ITC systems for donor-funded programs. Including backup and restoration of data systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft software applications, particularly Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
  • Experience in the setup, administration and maintenance of websites.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively broker, collaborate and build positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent speaking, writing and oral communication skills in English.
  • Experience in database development that uses different platforms

This is a part-time position which are divided into 02 stages:

  1. Stage 1: Focus on the setup of the IT system for project office (Sept - Oct)
  2. Stage 2: Provide monthly monitoring and maintenance to the end-users (onsite/remote support) (initial 01 year contract with possibility of extension)
