Reports to: Country Director

Position summary: The Marketing Advisor will leverage experience in commercial marketing to develop engaging, out of the box, purposeful and locally appropriate social marketing campaigns to address numerous health and social issues. This position will play a key role in designing creative consumer-focused messaging and communications materials to motivate positive changes in behavior. S/he will identify and apply cost-efficient channels to implement multi-channel campaigns using social media, online, outdoor billboards, print, community engagement and other channels as appropriate. S/he will broker partnerships and leverage campaign contributions from corporate as well as public sector partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design marketing strategies, workplans and briefs to guide evidence-based campaign design and execution
  • Lead team brainstorming and collaborate with creative team—including graphic designer and agency partners--to generate creative messaging and materials in line with campaign objectives
  • Coordinate and monitor execution of consumer marketing activities across multiple channels (online, events, outdoor, print, etc.), identifying lessons and areas for
  • improvement
  • Secure partnerships and support from commercial partners to support campaign objectives
  • Perform additional duties as requested

Selection criteria

  • At least 4 years experience in commercial marketing
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Fast learner, strong work ethic and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and responsible
