Marketing Officer

Project RENEW, a leading mine action program in Quang Tri Province, is expanding an income-generation program for families who are victims of accidents caused by Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).  Project RENEW is in partnership with the Humpty Dumpty Institute (HDI) to implement a program called Mushooms with a Mission (MwM).  MwM supports victim families and poor communities in ERW-affected areas in Quang Tri Province by creating jobs for people with physical disabilities, helping them achieve stable incomes and contributing to socio-economic improvements in the communities where they live.  The Program provides vocational training and technical inputs for families to grow mushrooms successfully, and assists with product and brand recognition and registration, retail sales and marketing, and guarantees the purchase of mushroom products from the program’s growers. MwM ensures that growers will be able to earn a good income from their mushroom products.  Profits from the program will go back to support Project RENEW’s humanitarian activities including ERW cleanup and removal programs, and to expand opportunities for more victim families to join the program.

Project RENEW is seeking Vietnamese candidates for the position of MARKETING OFFICER for Mushrooms with a Mission.

Responsibilities
- Develop and launch marketing surveys related to mushroom products.
- Identify targeted markets for MwM products, including institutional customers and individual consumers.
- Design a comprehensive MwM sales and marketing strategy.
- Implement and execute the strategy for optimum MwM product sales.
- Plan and organize meetings, workshops, and public and media events to promote the MwM brand and product sales.
- Work with media representatives, news outlets, advertising agencies and business partners, as well as Vietnamese and foreign mushroom experts, to introduce, disseminate and promote a positive image for MwM products and to increase mushroom sales in line with business plan targets and projections. 
- Support other members of the MwM management team in achieving sales volume and profit margins necessary to fund the demining work and other humanitarian efforts of Project RENEW.

Qualifications
- University graduate, with courses and/or experience in marketing and commerce, business administration, economics, and trade.  
- Excellent spoken and written English, computer skills, familiarity with modern information tools and technologies.
- Good personal communication skills, ability to analyze, evaluate, and report accurately and knowledgeably.
- Ability to set up systems, methodologies, and procedures for needs assessments, market surveys, measurements and evaluations.
- Ability to create and organize public and targeted events, meetings, and media opportunities for MwM product promotion.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently, as a self-starter, with energy and initiative.
- Willingness to work full-time in Quang Tri Province, and travel domestically and abroad from time to time.
