Media Officer

The Australian Embassy is now inviting applications for the position of Media Officer.  This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with a high standard of both English and Vietnamese language, written and oral communication and research skills and high levels of energy and dynamism to join the Embassy’s Public Affairs team.
The primary function of the position is to help publicise Australian Government policies and initiatives, and selected activities of the Embassy, through the Vietnamese media, with a particular emphasis on ‘new’ internet-based media.  The successful applicant will also monitor and prepare reports on selected topics in the Vietnamese media.

Applications comprising a covering letter, the candidate’s personal assessment of suitability against the selection criteria, a resume and the names of two referees are to be sent to the Human Resources Manager, Australian Embassy, 8 Dao Tan, Hanoi, by close of business on 31 October 2011.  Short-listed candidates will be contacted for a written aptitude test and an interview in English.
