Medical Country Coordinator

ESTHER (Ensemble pour une Solidarité Thérapeutique Hospitalière en Réseau) is a french public organization involved in capacity building in care and treatment for HIV/AIDS patients in 18 countries. ESTHER is working in Vietnam since 2002, through hospital twinning between Vietnamese and French hospitals. Currently, ESTHER is implementing projects in 3 sites (Hanoi, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City) in collaboration with health authorities. The interventions are dealing with various topics, including medical and psychosocial care for HIV/AIDS patients and IDUs, co infection HIV/tuberculosis, HIV/hepatitis, access to viral load.

Main responsabilities of the coordinator:
- Supports partners in writing and implementing the projects, according to identified needs and national policies.
- Participate to the supervision and follow up of the projects
- Takes part in timely collecting and analysing quality of care indicators on ESTHER projects
- Ensures technical reports are finalized in due time.
- Gathers and communicates information related to the evolution of national HIV program and care and treatment of people living with HIV/AIDS in Vietnam
- Ensures good relationships with national health authorities, technical partners,  NGOs and networks
- Represents ESTHER in national and international technical meetings at GIP ESTHER request.
- Participates in the preparation  and organization of ESTHER follow-up committee
- Supports the partners in preparing and organizing missions and training workshops.

Qualifications :
- Medical doctor
- Experience in HIV/AIDS;
- Knowledge in Public Health and experience in health program management;
- Vietnamese national; Good French and English writing and general communication skills;
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Power Point…);
- Dynamism, flexibility, good communication skills, capacity for team work.

Conditions:
- ½ time position
- Competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications
- Based in Hanoi; Willingness to  travel frequently to Haiphong and HCMC;
- Position availability: June 13, 2011.
