National Consultant on Independent Resettlement Review

The Government of Viet Nam has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi Development (New Model University) Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan, to payment under the contract for National Consultant on Independent Resettlement Review (code TV26).

The Project Management Unit of the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi Development (New Model University) Project now invites eligible consultants to express interest in providing the consulting services as detailed in the Terms of Reference (TOR) which can be downloaded from the ADB website http://csrn.adb.org or the Project’s website http://pmu-usth.edu.vn. The consultant will be in charge of providing an independent periodic review and assessment of (a) achievement of resettlement objectives; (b) changes in living standards and livelihoods of affected people; (c) restoration and/or improvement of the economic and social base of the affected people; (d) effectiveness and sustainability of entitlements; and (e) the need for further mitigation measures of project adverse impacts.

The consultant will be selected in accordance with ADB’s Guidelines on the Use of Consultants and applying the Individual Consultant Selection method.

Interested consultants should download the form for Expression of Interest (EOI) and TOR from the above mentioned websites or submit a letter of request to the address given below. The deadline for submission of EOI is 17h00, October 8, 2012.
