The focus of SIPA Project is to support Vietnam in improving institutional system, building human resource capacity so that Viet Nam could be ready to fulfil its commitment within the Paris Agreement. At the same time, the Project will help Viet Nam in updating NDC in line with the national circumstances and international context; piloting some mitigation and adaptation actions defined in the Plan.

The SIPA Project is looking for a National Intern to support the project in the Hanoi Project Office with the following details:

National PR Intern
Duty station: 14 Thuy Khue street, Hanoi
Duration: 6 months, starting from 9th May 2019
Working time: from 8.am to 5.pm, Monday – Friday

Purpose: To effectively assist and support the smooth running of office by ensuring that various general administration duties are carried out accurately and to a consistently high standard. Duties performed shall project a professional company image through interaction with other parties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assistance in maintaining and updating websites of the project;
• Assistance in the communications related task in workshops and events;
• Assistance in the preparation and production of communications materials such as fact files, success stories, videos, giveaways and others;
• Researching, collecting and preparing relevant data for communications work;
• Assistance in translation of communication materials when needed;
• Assistance in monitoring and press clipping of print and online media;
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirement of qualifications:

• Vietnamese citizen, who are in the last two years of their study or newly graduated students within 6 months upon commencement of the internship.
• University degree in media, communication, marketing or similar;
• Strong interest in communications and online media;
• Strong MS Office, organisational and analytical skills;
• Good knowledge of Vietnamese and English, written and spoken;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese;
• Thinking creatively and be able to use graphic design software;
• Experiences in an intercultural and multi-lingual context gained by way of internships and/or academic exchanges. Experiences in foreign countries are an asset.
• Highly motivated to learn and to contribute to a young and dynamic team of international and national staff with the aim to develop the power sector in Viet Nam;
• Willing to take on responsibility, work independently and travel to project sites for work if necessary.

Successful candidate is entitled to a monthly allowance, 24/7 accident insurance and enjoys professional and dynamic working conditions as well as good policies of training and development. The intern will be provided the facilities needed to carry out their tasks, such as office space, access to a laptop, a printer, and a telephone.
