National Programme Coordinator

The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the following position:

National Programme Coordinator:

A National Programme Coordinator (NPC) is sought to work in the project for initially 12 months. The position is based in Hanoi requiring regular travel to Quang Nam and Hue Province.

The NPC will work under the direct supervisor of the ILO Country Director. He/she will work closely together with ILO Programme Officers in Hanoi. Technical and programmatic liaison with Regional and HQ departments are also required for the effective implementation of activities and programmes.

Minimum Requirements include:

  • University degree in social science, economics, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent in experience. 
  • At least one or two years of proven management experience in tourism at the national level, including field experience in project coordination and implementation. Proven capacity to initiate and implement project activities and manage budgets. Experience in value chain development is an asset. Familiarity with the ILO and its work is an asset. Familiarity with UN procedures is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Vietnamese
  • Knowledge of programme and budget, project administration and evaluation concepts and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to clarify information. Good computer applications skills. Organizational skills. Ability to work on own initiative as well as a member of a team. Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy. Ability to supervise staff
