National Project Coordinator; Administrative Assistant; Administrative and Programme Clerk

The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the following positions:

1. National Project Coordinator, Occupational safety and health in hazardous work in Southeast Asia Project

The National Project Coordinator (NPC) will be responsible for the execution of the above-mentioned project. Technical guidance and assistance will be provided by the Senior OSH Specialist in the Sub-Regional Office in Bangkok. In Viet Nam, the NPC will work closely with the National Advisory Committee of the project. The assignment is based in Hanoi for one year at NOA level, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance.

Minimum Requirements:

- First level university degree in health, labour, agriculture, education, social science, or a subject relating to major project activities
- At least five years of work experience at the national level, including field experience in project management and implementation.
- Proven capacity to initiate and implement project activities in particular relating to research, training, policy developments, and organizing at the grassroots level.
- Proven capacity to manage, initiate and implement project activities, organization and management of technical co-operation programs or projects including negotiations with governments and development partners.
- Good research and analytical skills; proven reporting/writing/presentation skills; inter-personal and leadership skills; organizational and supervisory skills in order to implement and manage projects and programs.

2. Administrative Assistant, Occupational safety and health in hazardous work in Southeast Asia Project.

The position is responsible to provide administrative, secretarial and support services for the above-mentioned project. The assignment is based in Hanoi for one year at G5 level, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance.

Minimum Requirements:

- Completion of secondary school education.
- Five years of general clerical work experience, preferably in an international organization.
- Excellent knowledge of both English and Vietnamese languages.
- Proven ability to use word processor and software packages required by the work.
- Thorough knowledge of modern office procedures and clerical practices.
- Knowledge of administrative rules and regulations and good knowledge of personnel practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of protocol. Ability to respond to requests from officials from government offices, ministries, ILO constituents and international organizations. Ability to deal with confidential matters with discretion.

3. Administrative and Programme Clerk (Administrative/Finance), Joint Programme on Green Production and Trade to Increase Income and Employment Opportunities for the Rural Poor (Green JP) Project

The position is responsible to provide administrative, secretarial and support services and perform a wide range of tasks in support of the effective implementation of the ILO components of this project’s activities. The assignment is based in the ILO Country Office for Vietnam in Hanoi for one year at GS4 level, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds.

Minimum requirements:

- Completion of secondary school education
- Three years of experience in clerical work
- Knowledge of general programme procedures and practices. Knowledge of in-house procedures for the preparation of documents and administrative forms, and for the use of filing systems.
- Proven ability to use word processing software and ability to use other software packages required by the work unit.
- Ability to obtain services from other work units inside or outside the office for completion of tasks.
- Ability to respond to requests from officials from government offices, ministries, ILO constituents and NGOs in an appropriate manner
