National Project Coordinator (NPC) Support

The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the position below:

The responsibilities and tasks of the position will be carried out within the ILO results-based management system and in line with ILO rules and regulations.

National Project Coordinator (NPC) Support to development in industrial relations, wage fixing and labour law implementation institutions and capacity in Vietnam (VIE/12/01/USA)

The NPC will perform National Project Officer tasks and will work in close collaboration with the project team and other programmes of the Country Office as required. He/she will report to the Country Director through the project CTA and will receive technical guidance from Bangkok DWT specialists in industrial relations and labour standards. The assignment is based at the ILO Country Office in Hanoi for 12 months at NOA level, with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funds

Minimum Requirements include:

  • First level university degree in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of professional experience at the national level in the occupational area of industrial relations.
  • Excellent command of both English and Vietnamese languages.
  • Knowledge of programme and budget, project administration and evaluation concepts and procedures.
  • Good computer applications, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Good ability to interpret project information and to identify and analyze problems with implementation.
  • Ability to take initiative, work as a team member, and to deal with people with tact and diplomacy.
