National Technical Supervisor - Public Health
GFA CONSULTING GROUP (www.gfa-group.de) is recruiting a senior project supervisor for the EC funded project “Health Care Support to the Poor of Northern Uplands and Central Highlands” (HEMA). The position will be open from January to December 2012. The candidate will be posted in Hanoi, with frequent missions in the five provinces. The remuneration package is attractive.
Required profile of the Senior Supervisor:
- University degree in medicine or social sciences (economics recommended) and a post-graduate in public health or health economics,
- At least 5 years working experience in the health sector on ODA projects as programme manager or equivalent,
- Experience in social security / health insurance mechanisms in Vietnam is an asset,
- In-depth expertise in national health policy and strategies of MOH and/or VSS,
- She/he must demonstrate a good command in English (passive and active), and prove the necessary skills for drafting good quality reports,
- She/he must show excellent communication skills and capacities to analyse complex situations, identify problems/risks and find adequate responses,
- She/he has very good computer skills.
Conditions for applying:
The applicant must be willing to travel extensively in the project provinces, he/she is committed to perform as team player and must accept and be able to perform well under stressful conditions.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will provide technical support and monitoring to the project management units at central and province levels, especially on the quality of the services,
- He/She will collect information, analyse and document experiences from the project and disseminate to MoH / VSS and the partners in the health sector, and he/she will assist the PTF to implement the exit strategy,
- He/She will coordinate monitoring and evaluation activities in the field by the short term consultants.
