Operation Division Officer

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has been operating in 30 countries, supporting approximately 16.8 million people, including 9.6 million children.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 3 provinces; Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa. GNI is working in main areas such as child sponsorship and education, water and sanitation, income generation, etc. in 9 CDPs and is managing over 9,400 sponsored children.

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Country Director, Managing Director, OD Manager/Officer, SSD Manager/Officer, AD Manager/Officer, FD Manager/Officer, PM, Project Officers

External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental Officials, INGOs, Communities

2. MAIN DUTIES

1. Researching new project activities through PAP, interview, data analysis and other methods.

2. Participate in developing short-term and long-term strategic direction for Vinh Loc CDP.

3. Prepare yearly Plan of Actions (POA) with CDC.

4. Efficiently implement project activities in accordance with approved POA following by these sectors: Education, Income Generation, Water & Sanitation, Partnership and Capacity Building, support SSD staff in other activities.

5. Regularly visit and monitor activity implementing process and assess the results after completion.

6. Prepare project reports (monthly, bi-annual, annual, activity report…) and timely submit to PM

7. Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education

• University degree or higher in English, Rural Development, Economic, Agriculture, Education or related fields;

Work experience

• At least one year experienced for Officer position ;
• NGO working experience is preferable;
• Experience in construction, income generation, outdoor-activity;
• Ability to work independently and with the team;
• Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
• Fair English language skill in writing & reading.
