RECRUITMENT FOR OPERATION OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects working in 45 countries.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 5 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh, Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh city. We focus on education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in different areas of Vietnam.

Reports to: Project Manager, EP Team Manager, CHE Team Manager
 

 

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

External

Country Director, General Director, Division Managers/Team Managers/ Officers in HO, PMs, CDP Officers

GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental Officials, INGOs, and Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

1.    Plan and coordinate activities of Education and Child protection Sector (70%)


Education activities include:

  • Reading Enrichment Programs at school and in the community
  • Capacity building program for children (Communication, Cooperative, Critical Thinking, Creativity)

Child rights activities include:

  • Child rights Education and Child protection
  • Comprehensive gender education

2.    Plan and coordinate activities of water and sanitation sector (30%)

  • Assess the current status and make development plan at Mai Chau CDP according to general orientation of GNI and related divisions
  • Coordinate programs and activities to ensure the objective and plan set out
  • Develop partnerships
  • Report to managing levels and adjust activities to suit the actual situation.
  • Implement other works assigned by managing levels.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education:

University degree in Education, Environment and other related fields.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge about eco-social situation in working area
  • Previous experience in working with children or working for an NGO is a priority.

Skills

  • English communication lever;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Proficient in office computer skills and software;
  • Plan-making and presentation skills.

Attitude

  • Enthusiastic in work;
  • Friendly, honest and hard-working;
  • Eager to learn.
