MAG is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization clearing remnants of conflicts in current and former conflict zones. Present in Vietnam since 1999, MAG has been working to maximize community safety and help those most-at risk reduce their chance of being in a UXO accident.
We are seeking a fully qualified Operations Translator (OT) to MAG Quang Binh, who will support effectively to the functional teams to communicate with national and international staff within MAG, externally with partners and programme visitors & other administrative and translation support.
Major functions:Responsible for orally interpreting conversations between expat staff and national staff or partners, translating programme and/or operational documentation from English into Vietnamese and vice versa.
Key requirements for the position include:
- Graduated the Bachelor of Arts in English or equivalent capacity;
- Fluently in English and Vietnamese (listening, speaking, reading, writing, presentation);
- Be nimble and studious;
- Have a good sense of social and diplomatic skills;
- Ability to work under high pressure;
- Be responsible and have a good attitude in the workplace;
- Work in the field within Quang Binh Province.
- Experienced working in mines actions organisation is preferable;
- Having a valid driver's license (B2 or more); but not required.
