Relationships
This position is a senior leadership role reporting directly to  the Vietnam Country Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and direct the work of  The Foundation’s Program team in Vietnam, and will also interact regularly with the International Programs team in Sydney and other FHF Vietnam team members.

Job Summary
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for leading the development, management and effective implementation of The Fred Hollows Foundation’s programs in Vietnam, in line with FHF values, strategies, and policies. Under the overall guidance of the Country Manager, the OM will ensure that FHF Vietnam program activities are coordinated and managed to ensure strongest progress towards VISION 2020 goals and most efficient use of resources.

Selection Criteria and qualifications:
- Seven to ten years’ experience working for international development organisations, ideally in the eye health or health sector; minimum of 2 years working at a senior management level.
- Masters degree in Public Health, development or another related field
- Strong strategic and analytical skills
- Ability to support and develop a multi-project program that can measure and demonstrate results
- Ability to develop new project designs and proposals
- Excellent project management skills, including financial management, working with partners and donor reporting; experience overseeing multiple projects an advantage
- Strong understanding of all phases of the project cycle, including monitoring and evaluation
- Demonstrated team leadership and human resource management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels in a participatory and constructive manner, including FHF head office, donors, government partners, other NGOs and communities, including marginalised groups
- Good computer skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Commitment to the mission and values of The Fred Hollows Foundation
- Willing to travel within Vietnam (frequently) and overseas (occasionally) as required
