Project Objective

SI is implementing the new USAID/Vietnam Learns Contract. The scope of the five-year project is to support USAID/Vietnam staff and its implementing partners to implement more efficient, effective, and sustainable programs by (1) improving staff P knowledge and skills in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) and Collaborating, Learning & Adapting (CLA); (2) advancing evidence-informed decision-making; (3) strengthening strategic collaboration between staff and local stakeholders. 

Position Description

SI is seeking a full-time Organizational Learning Coordinator to assist the Senior Director for Organizational Learning in promoting collaborating, learning and adapting (CLA) for the research activities conducted for USAID/Vietnam, with particular focus on promoting the learning and use of data among stakeholders via facilitation. The position is based in Hanoi, Vietnam with limited travel within Vietnam. This position will work closely with the Senior Organizational Development Specialist and Research Director, and report to the Senior Director for Organizational Learning. The expected start date is late Sept 2020.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Research Director and STTAs to design such learning events with the aim to promote data utilization for evidence-based decision making and inform future planning;
  • Responsible for the coordination, logistics and organization of research and facilitated events;
  • Facilitate small group / table discussions and exercises and work up to facilitating large group discussions.
  • Develop and/or coordinate efficient and effective learning tools and knowledge products to be used during facilitated sessions and communicated to wider audience post events;
  • Responsible for capturing of knowledge at the event and formulate reports post event;
  • Contribute to the designing and implementation of knowledge management tools, products and processes to better document and promote learning in line with USAID/Vietnam programming activity to foster greater utilization and improved knowledge management across portfolio;
  • Participate in the overall planning for CLA and data utilization;
  • Other responsibilities as defined by the Senior Director of Organizational Learning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field, such as organizational development, organizational psychology, sociology, social psychology, international development, etc.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in group facilitation, change management, and/or strategic planning.
  • Previous experience supporting USAID-funded agreements desired.
  • Familiarity with USAID’s approach to Collaborating, Learning & Adapting (CLA) a plus but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication and administrative skills are required.
  • Ability to organize, manage, prioritize, and follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proven capacity to be flexible, take initiative and willingness to learn new skills as needed.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Written and oral fluency in Vietnamese and English are required.
