PSI/Vietnam seeks a talented and motivated individual for the part-time Researcher described below, to join our dynamic and resulted-focused team in Hanoi:

Post: RESEARCHER

Post summary: This position will work under the Research Manager for a range of different quantitative and qualitative research studies for program development, monitoring and evaluation. The incumbent is contributing to design and conduct/manage quantitative research fieldwork training, data collection, and data entry

Key responsibilities:

  • Involvement in and contribution to building up study objectives and study designs based on requests from multiple projects to generate relevant evidences for informing
  • project activities and project impact evaluation
  • In-country support, oversight and quality assurance of data collection for the duration of fieldwork (to support preparation including ensuring IRB approvals, training, and
  • data collection).
  • Data cleaning and analysis using data analysis software according to project standards and guidelines.
  • Quality and timely production of study reference documents (comprehensive summary of research findings from each country).
  • Collaboration with co-investigators towards delivering the project dissemination plan, including production of country reports, conference presentations, and publications

 

Selection criteria

  • Degree in public health, epidemiology, sociology or other related field.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experiences in working with both quantitative and qualitative studies.
  • Good skill in using data analysis softwares for both quantitative and qualitative information
  • Excellent communication and training facilitation skills.
  • Experience designing and conducting/managing quantitative research fieldwork training, data collection, and data entry in Vietnamese context
  • Young professionals, especially public health professionals, researchers and statistics analysts who have up to 3 years of professional study and/or experience in a related field. Coordination skills of research activities , especially fieldwork organization. Willingness to learn new things. Availability for travels to study sites.
