Job Title: Partnership Independent Contractor
Location: Hanoi office, with frequent travel
Timing: April 15 th to June 31 st , 2019 (Independent contract - IC)
Time Commitment: 12 working days per month

The Role: We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to support Samaritan’s Purse Vietnam with Partnership Projects. The role is responsible for supporting project activities in areas of logistical and administrative support, monitoring trainings that includes extensive travel, and household visits. Three projects will be supported in this role. The Independent Contractor will report to Partnerships Project Manager. We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and responsible individual to fill this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partnership Programs are carried out in Yen Bai and Hanoi. Goat Bank project is giving goats to beneficiaries after trainings conducted and preparations made to households. Other support will be needed in kindergarten construction and community outreach in Hanoi.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Report writing; must be comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
  • Administrative and logistical support for 3 projects.

QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree or experience in project facilitation
  • Experience working with ethnic minorities and/or rural communities of central Vietnam strongly preferred
  • Fluency in Vietnamese, intermediate English strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel to remote villages in varying weather conditions to carry out project activities
  • Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills; high level of integrity
  • Strong willingness and passion to support poor people on livelihood.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral

This is a contracted position to begin with a three month agreement with potential for renewal.
