Photography and Video Trainer for Communication Training

Aide et Action International (AEAI) is an international NGO, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.  AEA International began its programs in 1981 and is now working in more than 20 countries across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, South Asia, Southeast Asia and China to support the development of sustainable education projects with our belief in the universal right to a quality education. Each AEAI intervention is based around this ethos.

In Vietnam, AEA started working in 2003. Our approaches focus on early transformation during two time periods which are most critical in a child’s schooling, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) to basic education. Over 10 years of experiences along with local communities, partner organizations, and governments, we have implemented a number of projects in various locations.

In order to effectively support for documentation of activities in programs, photos and video are especially important as a vital evidence from community and national level.

With such purpose, we are currently seeking for an enthusiastic, experienced photography and video trainer who can provide training of photo taking and video developing for AEA staff and partners.

1. Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced technique and guidelines on how to take a photo which fit to the proposed purposes
• Provide basic training on developing and making videos using available equipment such as camera, smartphones…
• Provide technique on using and maintenance camera
• Advise trainees during practice lessons to develop stories using photos

2. Duty Station and Timeline

The one-day training workshop will take place in Hanoi in early August. The trainer is required to prepare and design the training on photo-taking and video-making which lasts for only one day.

3. Key Qualifications

The consultant is expected to have:

• At least five years with experience in communication work, proficient in photo taking and video developing
• Well equipped with professional grade videography/photography equipment
• Experienced in conducting photography and video-making training
• Good skills of a facilitator for trainings
• Experience in working with development projects and community
