Policy and Campaigns Manager

ActionAid is an international development agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide. In Vietnam, ActionAid operates in rural poverty pockets of mountainous and remote regions, in urban poor areas of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh and other cities since 1989 to promote human rights through issues of education, women’s rights, climate change, governance and food rights.

ActionAid International Vietnam (AAV) is seeking to recruit a well-qualified and experienced individual for Policy and Campaigns Manager. This position is based in Hanoi, with travels in Vietnam and abroad.

The contract is initially 2 years which is extendable.

This is a Senior Manager position at AAV reporting to the Country Director. The Manager will be responsible for developing strategies and plans for policy research, advocacy and campaigns following the objectives set out by AAV’s Strategy Paper. S/he will also provide strategic support and guidance to Capacity Development, Youth Initiatives and Communication functions of AAV. 

The Manager will lead and manage a competent team of staff at Policy Advocacy and Campaign Department,   collaborate with others at AAV and its partners to implement its departmental activities. S/he will liaise, communicate and facilitate networking, develop position papers and support AAV team in fund raising.

As a member of the Senior Management Team of AAV, the Manager will also fulfill higher level roles such as developing organizational strategies and policies, managing strategic partnerships, convening conferences and representing AAV at key policy events inside and outside Vietnam.

Education: (Degree/certificates to be presented at the interview time)
- Master in Political Science, or Public Administration and Economics, or International Studies or other related fields.

Work experience:
- 5 years of working experience in relevant fields
