Private Sector Adviser

Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

We are an international confederation of 19 organizations (affiliates) working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development and campaigning, in more than 90 countries.

All our work is led by three core values: Empowerment, Accountability, Inclusiveness.

Oxfam is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behavior at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity and financial misconduct; and committed to promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. Oxfam expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment through our code of conduct. We place a high priority on ensuring that only those who share and demonstrate our values are recruited to work for us.

We are looking for a Private sector adviser.  As private sector adviser you be an experienced professional with experience in influencing the private sector to adopt more inclusive and sustainable business practise. You will have specific experience of different ways of working with the private sector – through programmatic partnerships partnership, through dialogue and through industry or sector wide platforms. You will have the ability to instigate dialogue with large and medium sized companies, negotiate effectively and co-create joint projects that advance both company interests and Oxfam’s agenda. You will also have ability to understand the role that the private sector can play both in terms of promoting women’s economic empowerment and encouraging climate resilience.

How to apply: As part of your online application, please upload your up to date CV and a covering letter explaining your suitability against the essential criteria in the job profile.
