Program Assistant

Chemonics International seeks applications for a long term, full time Program Assistant for the USAID-funded Vietnam Strengthening Provincial Capacity (SPC) program. SPC is a four-year program aimed at improving the efficacy and sustainability of economic reform-oriented provincial capacity building services. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

1. Purpose

The Program Assistant assists the SPC program technical staff and Chief of Party in technical research and program logistics.

2. Illustrative Duties

  • Work closely with SPC staff to ensure that technical activities are consistent with strategic objectives.
  • Assist the SPC team in organizing meetings, events, and trainings with program counterparts
  • Maintain detailed records/files of program information
  • Provide contextual analysis through research on and reporting of key trends in SPC’s technical areas and with program counterparts
  • Produce written reporting products as requested by USAID and the SPC team
  • Communicate and brief Chemonics, USAID, and counterparts as appropriate on program information and local developments
  • Duties as assigned by Supervisor to achieve the project’s goals and objectives

3. Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in program/project management, preferably with USAID or donor-funded projects
  • Experience conducting research and analysis for a donor-funded organization or NGO preferred
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and preparation of reports with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Professional level in English and Vietnamese
