Program Assistant
JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: A Program Assistant based in Da Nang
The East Meets West Foundation (EMW), “the foundation for learning, healing and health", is a US-based non-governmental organization that assists disadvantaged communities in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia through programs in education, health, clean water and sanitation. Founded in 1988, EMW has a 35-year track record of innovative and effective work in Vietnam and a vast portfolio of completed projects. EMW projects and programs are known for their high quality, long -term sustainability, emphasis on results, and significant scale.
Currently, East Meets West Foundation is seeking a Program Assistant who will support projects and communications activities for a period of 6 months. This position is required to start working as soon as possible and based in Da Nang.
Responsibilities:
Project:
- Assist in the project activities of the Youth Development project (YDP) and Building Healthy School project.
- Support in following up Program’s in - out letters.
- Organize logistical arrangements for lodging, transportation, workshops/conferences for the projects;
- Accompany the donor to the project fields.
- Collect the project’s data, information as requested.
Communications:
- Assist in drafting media and marketing documents/videos for promoting East Meets West/Thrive Networks projects and partners in Vietnam.
- Provide translation and/or interpretation services for the project / operation documents/ events when necessary.
- Generate ideas/ innovations to contribute to EMW’s operation/ projects.
Indicators for good performance:
- Complete all tasks/assignments in an accurate, cost effective and timely manner.
- Quality reports to meet deadlines, as required.
- Minimize mistakes in work and breaches of organizational regulations.
- Build a good relationship with supervisor, co-workers, and counterparts.
Job Specifications/ Qualifications:
- College or University degree.
- One year experience in the field or with NGO is preferred
- Command of Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Work under tight deadlines and pressure.
