Program Facilitators

The Mekong Institute is an intergovernmental organization of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) with its mission to build capacity of government officials, private sectors and civil society in regional economic integration. The current thematic areas are Trade and Investment Facilitation, Rural Economic Development and Human Migration. Due to their rapid expansion, they are looking for four dynamic young professionals from the GMS countries to join their capacity building program as Program Facilitators. The Program Facilitator works in cooperation with a team leader to which he or she is assigned.  The Program Facilitator is responsible for administrative coordination and facilitative support to pre, during and post human resource development activities of assigned Program.

Specific Duties:
- Assist team leader in designing and developing capacity building programs (workshop, training course, seminar, action research, etc)
- Assist in preparation of capacity building program schedule, budgets and coordinate closely with Administration Office and Financial Office
- Coordinate with Program Manager/team leader on curriculum preparation and administration (preparing contracts for content providers, processing payment requests, supervision of contract)
- Prepare and send participants’ invitation letters, participants’ manual, and advanced training program materials
- In coordination with course trainers/ resource persons, prepare resources materials for distribution to course participants.
- Make travel arrangements for participants including arranging air tickets and visas, as required
- Coordinate the arrangement of training facilities (e.g. room, equipment, materials)
- Coordinate with and providing administrative support to module presenters
- Co-facilitate learning program sessions, field visits and/or action research
- Document program proceedings (workshop reports, minutes, pictures, etc.) and disseminate program documents after editing to participants and partnering organizations
- Ensure lecture notes, readings and course documents are filed accurately for MI records, and coordinate with IT section on MI Intranet and CD-ROM
- Assist Program Manager/team leader in research for the specialized thematic areas their team is responsible for.
- Assist in coordination of all aspects of the planning, implementing and evaluation of workshops conferences and MI official functions as assigned

Qualifications:
1. Must be GMS nationals (Cambodian, Chinese, Laos, Myanmar, Thai and Vietnamese)
2. Master Degree or equivalent experiences
3. At least two years work experience in training, development work or related field
4. Fluency in English
5. Willing to work in Khon Kaen with frequent travel to different parts of the GMS.

Compensation Package:
