  • The Program Manager is located at the ASIF office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
  • The Program Manager undertakes regular travel to project locations in the provinces.

Job Description

ASIF is looking for a full timeProgram Manager to join its team in an exciting time of organizational growthand development.

The role reports directly to the Executive Director and as such will be a member of the ASIF senior managementteam sharing collective responsibility to deliver the organization's strategy and vision.

The Program Manager (PRM) will lead a dedicated team to provide the necessary vision,leadership, managing all programs in the following fields Poverty Eradication, Education, Health, Water and Sanitation and Safe commnunity, are being implemented in Ho Chi Minh City, Gia Lai province and Kon Tum Province. And The program may be expanded to the other provinces in near future.

Main Responsibilities

The Program Manager is accountable for the planning, design, and operational delivery of the ASIF Program in alignment with ASIF’s strategic framework:

  • Develop new project ideas for ASIF Program ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and local needs.
  • Support Executive Director in developing ASIF Country Strategy and Framework for ASIF work.
  • Lead the program team in annual planning and budgeting in aligned with ASIF Annual Planning and budgeting as a whole.
  • Lead the development, planning, coordination and implementation of ASIF Program Including community Development projects and Support Non-Profit Organization projects in line with strategic objectives and internal systems that include accountability and evidence-based outcomes 
  • Ensure all policies and obligations required by Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC)and Vietnamese Government are full complied.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders including government officials and other NGOs that lead to outcomes that contribute to achieve ASIF Mission in the local context.
  • Manage partner relationships within the agreed governance frameworks of ASIF,
  • Collaborate across ASIF team to develop and maintain strong relationships internally and with all Partners.
  • Build capability within the team to drive a culture of engagement and collaboration within ASIF Team.
  • Providing supports to MARCOM Team in maintaining relations with donors/funding partners, expanding the network with new corporate and individual donors through events relating to programs.
  • Coordinate with Finance Team to ensure all funds of program activities are well managed and effectively used for achieving the strategic goals and Mission of ASIF.
  • Other tasks as requested by your line director.

Person Specification

Essential Experience

  • At least Five (5) years’ experience in Manager ‘s role with an (I)NGO
  • Successful, significant and relevant achievement at management level in a comparablenational/international organisations;
  • Experience of developing and implementing strategic and business plans;

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Ability to secure Senior Management and Board approval for strategy;
  • Demonstrable ability to evaluate the type of initiatives and programmes within the scope of the post and initiate, develop and deliver new initiatives that build on their successes;
  • Demonstrated Program Cycle Management skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills
  • Abilility to meet deadlines and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Fluent Vietnamese and excellent English both written and spoken
  • Strong staff management skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously, take initiative and make decisions;
  • Commitment to ASIF’s core values and strategic direction.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in relevant field such as (International /Community Development, Education, Health, Social sciences), however Master degree in the above relevant field is an advantage.
