The Embassy of Australia in Hanoi is looking for a highly motivated and well organised individual to fulfil the position of Program Officer (LE4). A merit list from this recruitment exercise may be used to fill similar positions over the next 18 months from the date of advertisement.
Working for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade under the Economic Section, the Program Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of existing and planned programs and activities within the International Economic and Trade sub-section, which focuses on bilateral and regional trade issues, implementation of the Australia Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy (EEES) and managing the Vietnam Labour Mobility Arrangement (VLMA).
Applicants should have demonstrated knowledge and experience working on policy and program issues in Vietnam, ideally with at least two years’ experience in relevant roles. High-level proficiency in English and Vietnamese are required.
The successful applicant will be offered an initial one (1) year non-ongoing employment contract with an option to renew for another one (1) year or ongoing/permanent employment. The Embassy will consider flexible work arrangements. The full-time monthly gross salary ranges from VND 37,023,003 to VND 41,669,718 depending on skills and experience.
