Program Officer

Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) is a non-government organization working in the field of public health and social science (please see detail at http://ccihp.org). We are seeking a candidate for the position of Program Officer working full-time in a short term (06 months, expected from April 2017 to October, 2017) to replace a full-time staff at birth for a project of HIV prevention. This project consists of two components: research and intervention, working directly with target communities in the field of prevention and harm reduction related to HIV .

1. Job discription:

Project Management:

  • Make plan for the project (quarter and monthly plan) and report weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Coordinate with technical group, community and consultant to ensure that all activities will be completed qualitatively and timely;
  • Monitor the progress and output of researcher and research associate;
  • Maintain the relationship and exchange information effectively with community groups and project partners;
  • Detect and solve arising matters during implementing project and relationship with partners;
  • Field trip: conduct and/or supervise activities, and/or work with consultant at field.

Profession:

  • Conduct researches (quantitative and qualitative) within the project with technical group and consultants;
  • Write research report for project and report to the donor;
  • Participate in specialized seminars, workshop, network activities under the project’s professional contents to develop the network for yourself and organization.

2. Requirements

  • Graduated in public health or social science, preferably candidate with experience in quantitative research;
  • Have at least 5 year experience of project management  and research in HIV related area and/or target communities (people living with HIV, sex workers, drug users, MSM). , etc.);
  • Have ability to work independently and in groups;
  • Command good use of English (exchange profession, read materials, write reports, conduct workshop discussions and training).
