The Program
The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam to access and use high level professional and technical knowledge, skills and competencies, to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people-to-people and institutional links and therefore strengthen the partnership between the two countries.
The goals are underpinned by the principle that gender equality, disability and social inclusion are integrated into all Aus4Skills activities, which are organised into five main components as follows:
- Australia Awards Scholarships
- Alumni Engagement
- Capacity Building for Higher Education
- Promoting Industry Linkages in Vocational Education and Training
- Vietnam Australia Centre, a new initiative to foster leadership and policy development
Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
The Position
The VAC Program Officer (Research) will support the Centre’s planning, budgeting, delivery and reporting of research activities through administrative, financial and logistical support. S/he will also support the Centre’s stakeholder engagement, governance, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, risk management and communications.

The Person
Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications or professional experience.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in project management or human resource development in an international development context. They will have professional experience with managing research projects as well as planning and delivery of social networking and professional development events. Good interpersonal skills and written communication skills in Vietnamese and English are essential.
Knowledge of alumni engagement and Vietnam’s policy and/or development and international engagement priorities, an advantage.
This position is locally engaged and reserved for National Citizens of Vietnam
