Vacancy: Project Assistant

Based in Can Tho

We are looking for a Vietnamese national for the position of Project Assistant to join our Livelihoods team. The successful candidate will be based in Can Tho.

Main Responsibilities

The Project Assistant is responsible for assigned tasks among the implementation of Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs in the Mekong Delta project. The Assistant will provide regular field-based technical support to the projects in Ca Mau, Hau Giang, and Can Tho under the guidance and support of the Project Manager, particularly in the areas of surveys, researches and product development, performance monitoring, and skill training program design. He/She will also provide field-based technical support to explore and recommend linkages with service providers in BDS and agricultural production programs. This position will also be responsible for the training/capacity building activities under the guidance of the project manager of livelihoods program.

Key Competencies
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance and Banking, or Development
• 1-3 years of experience working with poverty-focused projects, microfinance/banking sector or related fields
• Good training and facilitation skills
• Ability to communicate well, even on sensitive and difficult topics with local communities
• Experience with developing resource materials and manuals
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Good computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
