Position: Project Coordinator

  • Work place: Hoang Liet, Hanoi, Vietnam
  • Working duration : 9 months (including the probation period of 3 months)
    * Extendable based on performance and funding)
  • Working time : Preferably full-time but negotiable
  • Monthly salary : 600$ ~ 700$( Gross Salary), Negotiable upon the applicant’s qualification
  • Start date : April 2018

Rehabilitation International Korea (Hereinafter referred to as “RI Korea”) was established in 1954 with the support from then President of Rehabilitation International for war orphans and children with disabilities. Over the course of development of more than 60 years, we have now reached the stage of executing international development cooperation (IDC) for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in developing countries. Vietnam is the first country that we executed our IDC project focusing on setting up the environment for PWDs to narrow the digital divide. Until now, we have established 8 ICT education centers in 8 districts in Hanoi and there have been more than 700 PWD trainees participated in our project.

Furthermore, RI Korea is to establish an employment support service center in Hanoi which will be the forefront that provides customized vocational and social training to PWDs and employment consultation, and conduct PR activities to improve social awareness on PWDs.

In this respect, the Vietnam Branch of RI Korea is now seeking a Vietnamese national to fill the Project Coordinator position.

Main Responsibilities:

The Project Coordinator will provide general support and report to a Program Manager in the Vietnam Branch of RI Korea. The Project Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the followings:

  • Provide functional and general administrative support to the Vietnam Branch of RI Korea
  • Produce meeting minutes in Vietnamese and English or Korean
  • Provide translation and interpretation as necessary
  • Assist in preparing letters to partners, local government authorities and other project documents
  • Assist Project Manager in finishing financial report
  • Assist planning and holding meetings and seminars
  • Assist headquarters staff on business trips (monitoring local project centers)
  • Provide support in meetings with governmental agencies
  • Keep records of performance of the employment support service center

Skills and Experiences

  • Fluent in verbal and written English or Korean
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel Power Point, Windows, and in internet-based communications
  • Experience in assisting project management and accounting management in INGO
  • Strong drafting skills to produce clear and concise written document
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to details
  • Good command of task prioritization and time management to meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to problem solving and think proactively
  • Good teamwork, spirit and enthusiasm
  • At least 1 year experience of translation and interpretation is preferred
  • Experience in Persons with Disabilities-related issues preferred
