JOB TITLE: Project Manager

iDE is an international non-governmental organization headquartered in Denver, USA that is dedicated to creating income and livelihood opportunities for the rural poor. Over 34 years ago, iDE pioneered market-based development while working with smallholder farmers. Today, this approach is recognized as a sustainable, scalable, cost-effective approach to reach last-mile markets and alleviate poverty. iDE has been operating in Vietnam since 1991.

iDE is currently looking for a Project Manager (Vietnamese citizen) for the Building Markets for Enhanced Resilience in Vietnam project, implemented in Gia Lai province in the central highlands of Vietnam. The project works with the provincial Agricultural Extension Center and the private sector in promoting micro-irrigation technologies (MIT) to benefit the rural poor farmers.

The Project Manager will be based in An Khe town (preferred) or Pleiku city of Gia Lai province with frequent travels to project sites.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting of the project;
• Be responsible for the project budget and financial flows according to the project agreement;
• Maintain good relationship with local partners in project implementation;
• Be responsible for day to day management of project activities and human resources within the project;
• In collaboration with iDE’s direct supervisor, prepare TORs, contracts for procuring necessary products/services within the framework of project implementation and management;
• Contribute to setting up and testing M&E system. Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the project progress and implementation;
• Facilitate dissemination of best practices and lessons learned throughout the project;

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Project Management, Business Administration, Agribusiness, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in project management, experienced in market-based approach is preferable.
• Strong leadership, communication and networking skills, ability to bring actors together, coach them and build capacities.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Vietnamese. Good command of computers and office skills.
