Over the past 30 years, Agriteam has managed and implemented more than 350 projects and assignments in dozens of countries worldwide.

Agriteam is currently recruiting a Project Manager for an upcoming Food Safety & Agri-Food Value Chain project in Vietnam. The objective of the project is to improve the performance of national and sub-national governments in enforcing food safety regulations; to increase competitiveness of Vietnamese agri-food products domestically and internationally; and to increase consumer demand for safe agri-food in Vietnam. The project will operate across the agri-food value chain by engaging and building the capacity of three main target groups: the public sector (enabling environment), the private sector (supply side), and the consumer (demand side).

The Project Manager will be based full-time in Vietnam, and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project in the field, including financial and human resources management.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in project management, business administration, or finance;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior level project management;
• Minimum of 2 years managing a work assignment related to food safety, risk assessment or agriculture;
• Experience providing high-level strategic direction and oversight to project planning and implementation;
• Experience applying principles of results-based management and risk management;
• Experience with human and financial resource management;

Additional Qualifications

• National and international experience in safe/quality food value chains, food inspection, and food safety practices;
• Experience providing institutional capacity building;
• Experience managing complex multi-stakeholder relations, working with a diverse group of stakeholders ranging from government departments, donors, civil society and/or non-governmental organizations, media, farmers/producers, processors, and distributors ;
• Demonstrated experience working in Vietnam or in the region;
• Knowledge of Vietnamese institutions, agencies, universities, private sector companies and ministries involved in food safety;
• Must be fluent in English;
• Must be Vietnamese citizen, permanent resident, or holding a valid Vietnam work permit.
