Project Officer

The ILO Office in Vietnam invites applications from Vietnamese nationals for the position below:

The responsibilities and tasks of the positions will be carried out within the ILO results-based management system and in line with ILO rules and regulations.

1. Project Officer for Promoting Decent Work for Persons with Disabilities Project

The National Project Officer – Disability at ILO Hanoi will work under the overall supervision of the Director - ILO Hanoi, with technical backstopping by the Senior Disability Specialist (SDS), Gender, Equality and Diversity Branch, Conditions of Work and Equality Department, ILO Geneva. The assignment is based in Hanoi with eighteen month contract, with the possibility of extension subject to availability of funds.

Minimum Requirements include:

• First level university degree in a relevant field.
• At least two years of professional experience at the national level in development, vocational skills training or vocational rehabilitation/disability, and  work with organizations of persons with disabilities is an advantage
• Excellent command of one working language of the office and good knowledge of another official language of the duty station.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as a member of a team.
• Good knowledge Office-wide activities and objectives.
• Knowledge of the Office’s financial rules and regulations
• Good knowledge of programme and budget. project administration and evaluation concepts and procedures.
• Ability to interpret project information and to identify and analyze problems with implementation
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Good drafting skills. 
• Ability to clarify information.
• Good  organizational skills.
• Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to supervise staff.
• Good computer application skills.
