RECRUITMENT FOR PROJECT OFFICER

Good Neighbors is an international, non-profit humanitarian organization that plans, implements and raises funds for the provision of services in child education, community development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently Good Neighbors has works in 37 countries, supporting approximately 17 million people, including about 10 million children.

Good Neighbors International in Vietnam (GNI) is implementing Community Development Projects (CDP) based on child sponsorship in 4 provinces: Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. GNI in Vietnam sponsors about 10,000 children and implements community development projects (CDP) in education, water & sanitation, income generation sectors in 7 different areas of Vietnam.

Type of contract: Full time

Location: Mai Chau district, Hoa Binh province

1. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Country Director, General Manager, AD Junior Manager/Officers, SPD Junior Manager/staff, PMs, Project Officers

External: GNI’s Donors, Partners, Governmental. Officials, INGOs, Communities.

2. MAIN DUTIES

  • Organize and implement activities of the special project;
  • Make plan, organize and implement activities of the special project;
  • Prepare project proposal, submitted to Manager for approval;
  • Ensure activities are implemented in accordance with plan, to meet the project objectives;
  • Liaise with Finance team, to ensure project expenditure made in accordance with financial rules of GNI;
  • Prepare activity report, periodic report in compliance with regulation of GNI, submitted to Project Manager of Mai Chau CDP and Project Coordinator in Head Office;
  • Provide information for partners such as sponsor, local authorities in accordance with GNI’s regulation;
  • Connect, build a strong and reliable relationship with local authorities to implement project in an effective way;
  • Coordinate with staff of other Division to fulfill the tasks in accordance with order and procedures;
  • Contact with partners and local authorities to accomplish mission such as People’s Committee of District and Commune;
  • Organize reception and meet requirements of sponsor related to the project;
  • Be involved in project evaluation. Prepare project report;
  • Carry out other project-related activities upon request of Division Manager/General Manager/Country Director.

3. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Education:

  • University degree in University Degree in relevant fields: Community Development, Project Manager, Education, Construction, Environment and other related fields.

Work experience

  • Minimum 01 year of similar role
  • Have experience and project management skill, including planning, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and partnership skills.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and work with the team;
  • Good organizing skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Good English language skills in writing & speaking;
  • Good skill in computer use

Attitude

  • Sociable, responsive, committed working with GNI at least 2 years
  • Accountable and transparent.

Salary: From 300-350 USD
