Project Worker/ Communication Officer

The Center for Sustainable Development Studies (CSDS) is a Vietnamese non-profit organization legally registered in 2009. CSDS is promoting education for sustainable development with a strong emphasis on youth empowerment and community support.  Volunteering is a key component of the organization’s focus, and volunteers provide a valuable resource for the delivery of its programmes and projects. Besides hundreds of international volunteers, CSDS is also supporting the growth of local volunteer groups (SDC, Ha Noi Du, Pioneer Fish, etc) who are also able to engage a large number of local youth in community service.

CSDS is expanding their partnership with different organisations in Vietnam and around the world, including the British Council, Irish Aid, Oxfam, Action Aid, etc.  In the frame of its growth, CSDS is looking for new team members who will be enhancing its communication and campaigns as well as coordinating its activities in the area of youth empowerment and community development.

Job Purpose:

  • Manage the organisation’s communication channels and its campaigns;
  • Coordinate and implement various project and program activities.

Job Role:

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and plans for CSDS activities which link up with organisational commitments in communication, campaigns, policy advocacy and youth work, including the “Youth Drivers for Change” project and operation of the SOCI Youth Hub
  • Promote CSDS activities and raise the public profile of the organisation in line with its vision and mission and overall objectives
  • Ensure that information on CSDS programs and projects, advocacy events and campaigns is conveyed through appropriate communication channels and transmitted to relevant audiences
  • Monitor and assess the quality, consistency of all activities within the domain of communication and campaign works undertaken by the organization
  • Coordinate and organise the delivery of training courses and workshops targeting youth
  • Facilitate and maintain effective linkages with networks related to CSDS activities
  • Resource and provide technical support and guidance to international volunteers
  • Ensure all documentation and reporting requirements of donor agencies are adhered to and carried out in a timely manner.
