Education for Nature-Vietnam (ENV) was established in 2000 as Vietnam’s first non-governmental organization focused on conservation of nature and the environment. Their mission is to foster greater understanding amongst the Vietnamese public about environmental issues of local, national and global significance, ranging from protection of wildlife and natural ecosystems to climate change. Position available
ENV is looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Public Awareness (PA) Program Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating the development and execution of ENV’s major public awareness campaigns in close cooperation with other ENV programs. The PA Program Coordinator reports to the ENV Operations Director.
Main responsibilities:
1. Supervise public awareness program staff
- Supervise up to 3 project officers and assistants under the public awareness program
2. Develop and manage public awareness campaigns
- Help design, develop and execute public awareness campaigns.
- Organize meetings, workshops, surveys, and other public events
- Liaise with different organizations, companies and embassies to call for support and sponsorship
3. Coordinate with the media
- Organize press conferences and brief journalists of relevant issues
- Produce press releases relevant to ENV activities
- Work with TV and press media to develop awareness programs
4. Work closely with other departments at ENV. Do translation and interpretation when needed.
Make report and budget.
5. Other assignments from ENV Operations Director & Management Board.
Requirements
- University degree. Female above 26 years old is preferred
- Excellent English and Vietnamese (both verbal and written). Excellent Vietnamese writing and editing skills required
- Strong organization and management skills
- Confident, strong communication and presentation skills
- Full competency in the basic office computer programs
- High responsibility, ability to work independently and in a team
- Being initiative, attentive to details and committed to work
- Ability to work under high pressure and meet deadlines, willingness to travel
