Quality Improvement Project Manager (Hanoi) (1.0 FTE)
Overall Responsibilities
Work with PEPFAR and Vietnamese partners to build capacity and sustainability for quality improvement activities to improve the outcomes and sustainability of HIV prevention, care & treatment efforts. The QI Project Manager will assist the Director of Program Evaluation/Quality Improvement in the development and implementation of HAIVN Quality Improvement efforts and act as liaison to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Vietnamese government partners.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the implementation of HAIVN Quality Improvement activities in Vietnam with the Project Officers and Associate Project Manager in Hanoi and HCMC.
2. Serve as liaison between local and Boston-based HAIVN staff, CDC office in Vietnam, and Vietnamese government partners (LIFEGAP and PAC of HCMC) in planning and implementation of quality improvement activities.
3. Provide training and mentorship in principles, techniques and methods of quality improvement.
4. Train and mentor provincial staff on data collection, analysis and response to clinic performance measurement data.
5. Work closely with all HAIVN staff to coordinate implementation of technical assistance and quality improvement activities.
6. Lead staff training courses, workshops, and project meetings.
7. Provide regular technical assistance and mentorship to health care workers in outpatient clinics and local PAC staff to build sustainability of quality improvement activities.
8. Work closely with VAAC, provincial PACs, CDC, WHO, and other partners in the development and role out of the Vietnam National QI Plan.
9. Translate documents as needed.

Qualifications
MD, MPH, or advanced nursing degree
Excellent English and Vietnamese verbal and writing skills
Excellent interviewing/interpersonal skills
Experience with quality improvement methods (eg, TQM, HIV QUAL or others) strongly desired.
Familiarity with computer applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience in monitoring/evaluation and/or performance measurement preferred
Experience with Access Database preferred
Experience with simple data analysis strongly desired
