Regional Child Protection Manager

Who They Are
The British Council is the United Kingdom's principal organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations and our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relations between people in the UK and in other countries.
Across East and South Asia we have a large network of teaching and examinations centres catering primarily for young learners and young adult students. In addition, we manage an extensive programme of projects in partnership with schools, youth organizations and educational professionals.

Job Summary
The Child Protection Team provides leadership and professional advice on the implementation of the British Council global child protection strategy. Your role is to provide regional leadership in East Asia and South Asia. You will work with the Corporate Child Protection Team and regional networks to establish a child safe change programme, with an emphasis on ensuring a culture of proactive child protection systems and safe practice.
You will need a professional qualification in a child protection related field with 3-5 years work experience in the child protection sector including international experience.

Country appointed position based in Hanoi, Vietnam

Annual gross salary following British Council payband (Grade 8), according to experience and qualifications, together with attractive benefit package and career development opportunities.
