Regional Coordinator for Inclusive Modern Markets (IMM) Program

Background: VECO Vietnam is developing its Mekong Regional Program (2014-2019) comprising two major strategies: Sub-sector Development (SSD) and Inclusive Modern Markets (IMM). Please refer to

We are currently seeking for a qualified professional for the position of REGIONAL COORDINATOR for the Inclusive Modern Markets (IMM) Programme. This incumbent will be based in VECO Mekong
Regional Office, Hanoi, Vietnam and require travelling outside VECO program areas as needed.

Position Summary: To enhance the inclusion of smallholder farmers in durable trading relationships with private companies in the Mekong Region by coordinating the regional IMM programme.

Job size: Full-time

Expected starting date: October 1st 2013

Basic requirements:
- Master Degree in Agriculture, Economics, Rural Development or equivalent experience
- Very good working knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of national language in any Mekong Region Countries, an advantage but not required
- At least 5 years in value chain development in Mekong, working with a variety of stakeholders, and having a leading role in programme management
