Regional Systems Administrator

PATH is an international, nonprofit organization that currently seeks qualified candidates for one (one) available position based in our Hanoi office:

Regional Systems Administrator: Responsible for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting IT infrastructure and desktop PC support at PATH offices in Hanoi, as well as other locations in Asia. This will include firewalls, switches, servers, ISP connectivity, laptops and desktop PCs, and include responsibility for Active Directory maintenance for these locations. Responsible for customer desktop support and trouble ticket maintenance/updates, for installation and troubleshooting issues regarding PC hardware and software (Windows 7, MS Office), anti-virus, and other desktop office applications. Will liase with internal and external technical personnel in these responsibilities. 10-15% travel within Asia required.  

Knowledge, skills and experience required: Four years’ training at an accredited school, with a concentration in systems or information technology courses, with certification or degree as proof of program matriculation. Four or more years’ experience in systems administration and troubleshooting/maintaining PC, system and network hardware and software issues at an organization of similar size and technical complexity. Proven experience in network technologies, such as Ethernet, Citrix VPN, switching, network firewalls, routing, TCP/IP, hosted (i.e. "cloud") services, ISP connectivity and routing. Administration in some, if not all of these technologies. Proven experience in desktop PC technologies, such as current laptop and desktop platforms, Microsoft Windows 7 OS, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Microsoft Exchange. Ability to work effectively in remote locations, and under remote supervision. Ability to direct and guide the technical activities of contractors and assistants at remote offices, either personally, in email, chat, or via telephone. Excellent written and spoken Vietnamese and English. Availability to travel within Asia up to 15% per year.
